Our leadership team recognizes the authority of God, and realizes that we are shepherds who serve under the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ. We desire to devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the Word. our passion and goal is to equip the believers for the work of the ministry until we all attain maturity in the fullness of Christ.

 

We want to welcome our new Senior Pastor,
Eric Hardman, his wife Cassie
and family to Mount Olive!
Pastor Eric will officially begin his ministry as Senior Pastor on October 8.
Eric attended Fruitland Baptist Bible College from 1998-2000, receiving his associate degree in religion and church ministries. While at Fruitland, Eric and Cassie met and were married. They moved to Wake Forest, NC, where Eric attended Southeastern Baptist Bible College from 2001-2003, receiving a bachelor’s degree in biblical studies. During their time at Southeastern, Eric served as a student pastor in Roxboro, NC. Since then, Eric has served as an associate pastor and senior pastor of 3 different Baptist churches.
Eric and Cassie have been married 22 years, and they have three boys and one daughter-in-law: Noah & Kaylea, Caleb, and Jacob.

Paula Whitfield
Music Director
 
Paula was raised in the Shoals community of Pinnacle NC. She started playing piano for Shoals Baptist church at the age of 13. and continued playing until she went to college. A graduate of Mars Hill College with a bachelors degree in music education. She began her 32 year teaching career in Williamston NC where she met her husband. She was also the music director at the Gold Point Christian Church.  After the unexpected death of her husband, Paula decided to move back home where she is close to her family.  We are excited to have her lead the music program at Mount Olive Baptist Church.
